Mark Twain’s A Ghost Story

Originally published in 1850, this story starts as one would expect a ghost story to go, but it is Mark Twain, he isn’t just writing to entertain, he also writing to make fun of some element of society. In this case the public adoration for carnie nonsense. There aren’t many stories with the Cardiff Giant in them, but this is one.

I was supposed to read Twain’s A Ghost Story for an American lit class I took once, decades ago. I didn’t. But recently did and added some art to it to keep things interesting.
